Birthright Israel will host its first Taglit Global Business Summit at the Hilton Tel Aviv from November 1 to 3. The three-day event is titled "Shaping Our Future Together" and is expected to draw more than 350 participants. Attendees will include business leaders, investors, entrepreneurs, and philanthropists from Israel and abroad.
Organizers state that the summit marks a milestone in the organization's 26-year history. More than 100 attendees are traveling from over 15 countries, including Argentina, Australia, Switzerland, and the United Arab Emirates. They will meet with Israeli executives to discuss topics such as innovation, philanthropy, and economic development. The group notes that its programs have added approximately $2.6 billion to the Israeli economy since 1999 through travel and local spending.
The opening gala on November 1 will honor supporters of the organization. President Isaac Herzog is scheduled to speak alongside international backers. Meir Shamir, chairman of the Israeli Board of Donors, and Josh Nash, international chairman of Birthright Israel, will also participate. Representatives from NVIDIA, Wiz, Elbit Systems, El Al, and monday.com are among the business figures expected to attend the recognition evening.
The main conference program takes place on November 2. Speakers will include Sir Ronald Cohen, co-founder of Apax Partners; Eyal Waldman, founder of Mellanox; and Yinon Costica, co-founder of Wiz. Sean Rad, founder of Tinder, and Amit Krig, NVIDIA’s Israel site leader, are also on the lineup. The agenda features alumni who have entered the private sector, such as Avinatan Or, an NVIDIA engineer released from captivity after 738 days. Moran Samuel, a Paralympic basketball player and rower, will also present.
Gidi Mark, Global CEO of Birthright Israel, described the summit as a natural extension of the group’s mission. He said that bringing global leaders to the country serves as a statement of confidence in its future. Ethy Levy, Vice President of Global Resource Development, noted that conversations at the event could lead to business partnerships or new investments in Israel.
On November 3, participants will leave the conference for site visits. They will tour Israeli companies, innovation centers, and communities involved in recovery efforts. Attendees will have the option to volunteer alongside current Birthright participants. This final day builds on the group’s existing Business Forum, which includes nearly 60 Israeli companies.
